I'm glad it inspired you. The reality is as simple as that. Yes, being bright makes it easier to succeed in life, but that's just having more potential; knowing how to use it is a completely different matter. Just knowing how to use your potential, even if it's not extraordinary, already puts you way ahead.
The young need to hear this. The old need only look back on their lives. (And hopefully look forward, as well, with this as a reminder.)
