I have never followed someone who followed me, but I just read your “becoming a reader essay” because I wondered if you were the brother of my daughter-in-law who is also a cartographer. (Foolish since Garcia is a widespread last name.) I will look forward to any book musings and eager to dive into your archives.

Welcome! Yes, the surname García is very common. I have also worked as a cartographer, in fact. What a coincidence! I hope you have a good time here.

No, unfortunately I do not know. That's why I didn't put it in the text. It's a pity I don't remember it, I only know that it was from a collection of books that all had a brown cover, although the collection is about a hundred books. I don't know which one it was...

We combined our library with my mother's when she came to live with us after my father died. We ended up with bookshelves in almost every room of our sprawling 4,000 Sq ft house. 16 rooms.

Thousands of books. And we bought more...and more...

Now, we buy books for our Kindles. 2500 on mine. Our children have access to all of them.

Please share your favorite books!

I've been away from SS a long time. I'm coming back!

I am impressed, it sounds amazing!

It must be shocking to see so many books in one house. I hope you like my recommendations.

See you!
